Neapolitan Pizza - Interesting Facts!

  • Invented in Naples around 1850.
  • Baked at a scorching 450-500°C (takes about 90 seconds)!
  • The crust should be slightly charred and the base soft and slightly chewy.
  • The dough is proved over a long period, never less than 24 hours. Consequently, Neapolitan pizzas, as well as having great flavour, are easily digestible and never cause stomach discomfort.

About Us

Established in 2019, The Napoli Express are suppliers of Artisan Pizzas. The aim, very simply, was to serve high-quality Neapolitan pizzas.

Poor quality, highly processed ingredients are avoided. All key toppings are imported from Italy and are of premium quality. The dough is made by hand every day.

Brian was one of the first people in Ireland to graduate from the AVPN Pizza School in Naples, having received his tuition from Pizza Maestro Gaetano di Lorenzo. Enda previously worked as a chef at the 4-star Rathmullan House Hotel.

Both partners hold degrees in Culinary Arts.
